Land Rover Defender 2015

From 2015 the Defender included Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).

DSC system basically helps a Defender go round a corner without tipping over. It does this by braking the inside wheels, so is essentially a new software package added to the ABS system. It monitors the individual wheel speeds, the lean in the suspension, speed and driver inputs to determine if it needs to intervene. A new steering wheel was used from this year which has sensors instead of lugs to cancel the indicators.

To Quote: "From 2015 all UK and European specification Defenders will be fitted with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as standard. This will be packaged with ABS and therefore means that all new UK and European specification Defenders will have ABS with Electronic Traction Control (ETC) and DSC as standard."

EBA means that the vehicle detects when you are braking hard, and applies the maximum braking pressure possible.

ABS also started being fitted to 130 models this year.
